SUMMARY

During the summer of 2024, I had the privilege of walking deep into the Amazon basin, four hours upriver from Puerto Maldonado. I was mesmerized by the dense beauty of the Peruvian jungle—the quiet, the noise, the dark—it was overwhelming. My senses prickled as I adjusted to the area's vibrancy.

My host referred to the Amazon as the lungs of the world. What a beautiful thing. But with beauty, there is pain. You cannot talk about the Amazon without reflecting on the destruction happening at an alarming rate. I yearn that we, as a species, come to our senses.

This growing collection is the dreams and reflections of my time there. It is a documentation of visions, magic, and wonderment that the Amazon holds. As I paint, I journey through meditations on healing and uplifting the fragile beauty of nature.
